A properly engineered, vehicle-specific audio upgrade for the Kia PV5 Passenger.
The factory PV5 audio system does the job… but there’s definitely room for improvement!
Our SHC Kia PV5 speaker upgrade kit has been designed from the ground up to give the standard system a cleaner, fuller and considerably more detailed sound, while retaining the original head unit and factory appearance.
At the heart of the kit is the Focal Auditor ASE 165 6.5" two-way component speaker system, combining dedicated 165mm mid/bass drivers with separate tweeters to dramatically improve clarity, definition and overall sound quality over the standard speakers.
But rather than simply supplying a pair of aftermarket speakers and some generic adaptor rings, we've designed the complete installation around the PV5.
SHC-Designed 3D Printed Speaker Mounting System
A big part of getting a speaker upgrade to actually sound good is how the speaker is mounted.
We've designed our own vehicle-specific 3D printed speaker holders specifically for the Kia PV5. These locate the Focal 165mm speakers correctly within the original door and provide a strong, secure mounting platform without modifying the factory speaker aperture.
We've then gone a step further and designed dedicated TPU 3D printed acoustic gaskets for the installation.
The system features:
TPU door-to-speaker gasket — sealing the speaker mounting assembly against the door
TPU speaker-to-door-card gasket — creating a seal between the front of the speaker and the factory door card
These flexible gaskets help isolate the front and rear sound waves, reduce unwanted vibration and prevent sound from simply disappearing into the cavity behind the door card.
It means more of the speaker's output is directed where it's supposed to go — into the cabin — helping improve mid-bass response, clarity and overall sound performance.
It's a small detail, but it's exactly the sort of detail that makes the difference between simply fitting better speakers and installing them properly.
DeadSound Door Treatment Included
We're also including DeadSound sound-deadening material as part of the kit.
DeadSound is one of the leading UK specialists in automotive sound deadening, and we've included their material to help get the best possible performance from the Focal speakers.
Applied to the front doors during installation, the sound-deadening helps reduce panel resonance and vibration while creating a more controlled environment for the new mid/bass drivers to work in.
The combination of Focal components, SHC-designed rigid speaker mounts, TPU acoustic sealing and DeadSound treatment means we're addressing the installation as a complete system rather than simply replacing the factory speakers.

Designed Specifically for the Kia PV5
There's a big difference between "these speakers fit a PV5" and a speaker package that's actually been designed around the vehicle.
We've developed the mounting, sealing and sound-deadening elements of this kit specifically around the PV5 so the Focal components can perform as they should.
The result is improved bass response, vocal clarity, detail and overall sound quality, while retaining the standard Kia stereo and a completely factory-looking installation.
No additional amplifier required. No chopping up the doors. No generic MDF adaptor rings. Just a properly engineered, complete speaker upgrade for the Kia PV5.
