Our home-grown SHC Kit, is designed to reduce the travel in your gear linkage rods, with up-to 50% reduced shifter travel! The ‘SHC Quick Shift Kit’ is a popular mod that serves two main purposes: Firstly, it shortens the distance that the T25 gear lever needs to travel between gears - by reducing the angle that the shaft travels.
 
Secondly - The outcome, and most noticeable benefit of our short shift kit is the way it transforms the driving experience. Our VW’s had great shifting gearboxes WHEN NEW (aka 40 plus years ago). Now you can get rid of long manual throws that make T25 drivers feel like they’re stirring a pot of paint, and return to how it was designed to drive! Our kit instantly brings a far nicer, shorter shifting action.
 
T25’s up to chassis number WV2 ZZZ 25Z C 200 000 have a 12mm diameter gear lever. T25’s from chassis number WV2 ZZZ 25Z D 000 001 have a 14mm diameter gear lever.
