If your VW T25 T3 diesel is starting to struggle with its electrical duties, it might be time to give the old alternator its marching orders. This alternator is suitable for all diesel models fitted with bolt-on electrical connectors, helping keep your beloved brick doing what it does best: getting you out there (and, ideally, getting you back again).

A little word about alternators (because VW ownership is never quite that simple…)
 
Alternators can be surprisingly confusing little beasts. The same basic unit may have been fitted to a Golf, Passat, Audi 80 and your trusty T25, with the main difference being the pulley attached to the front. Over the years, suppliers have sensibly streamlined their stock, meaning one alternator might now cover several applications – but the pulley you receive may not be the one your campervan needs.
 
And that, dear T25 owner, is where you come in.
 
Before fitting, please compare your original alternator with the one supplied.
 
You may need to transfer the pulley from your old unit to ensure the belt lines up correctly. Check the belt alignment carefully before putting everything back into service; a belt that isn't running true is nobody's idea of a relaxing camping trip.
