Time, heat, age and countless miles can take their toll on the original PCB foil- and when it starts breaking down, your gauges, illumination, indicators and clock can all start behaving rather strangely. 
 
Because, apparently, even VW electronics have an expiry date. Eventually😄That’s where the SHC Dash PCB Replacement Unit comes in.

Our much-loved SHC-produced PCB kit has been updated for 2026, making an already straightforward replacement even easier. And the best bit? You don’t need to worry about whether you have an early or later T25. Every kit includes both early and late connector options, meaning one kit covers all OEM T25 / Vanagon instrument cluster variants!
 
No more crawling under the dashboard trying to work out which mysterious bit of VW history you’ve inherited!

What does it do? 
The instrument cluster PCB is responsible for a surprising amount of the stuff you spend your time looking at while driving — including:
 
-Cluster illumination
-Clock
-Gauges
-Indicators
-Warning lights
-Dash Illumination LED Bulbs
 
 
If your instrument cluster is starting to fail, the SHC PCB kit provides a simple Plug’N’Play replacement solution.
 
No complicated wiring. No special tools. No need to be an electrical wizard who speaks fluent vintage Volkswagen.
 
Just some basic tools, our detailed step-by-step instructions, and a little bit of patience.
 
Designed for OEM VW Engines 
This kit is designed for standard factory-installed VW engines. If your T25 has a non-OE VW engine conversion, please contact us before purchasing so we can make sure the kit is suitable for your setup.
 
The kit is also suitable for petrol models fitted with the Oxygen light in the left-hand position of the warning light console. An Oxygen / Glowplug lamp is supplied for the left-hand slot. 
 
Why replace the original PCB?
Your original PCB has probably spent several decades doing exactly what VW intended it to do — quietly getting on with its job while you enjoy the van. Unfortunately, the years aren't always quite so kind to the PCB foil. The SHC replacement gives your instrument cluster a fresh lease of life with modern replacement circuitry, new LEDs, a new voltage regulator and improved components, while retaining the functionality you expect from your original VW setup.
