SHC rocker covers are slightly taller than the originals, this is to accommodate the finned design- which helps with extra heat dissipation. Plus they look cool (good news- they still use the stock rocker cover gaskets)

Fits VW aircooled upright engines from 1961 onwards, 1600cc aircooled VW T25 and 1900, 2100cc watercooled from 1979 to 1992. They not only look good but help with cooling!
 
The bolt-on design eliminates the need for troublesome rocker clips and gives a better seal to eliminate oil leaks.
