SHC VW T25 T3 Vanagon Odometer Worm Gear Repair Clamp
A common fault with VW T25 T3 Vanagon speedometers is the odometer worm gear becoming loose or moving out of position, preventing it from correctly driving the odometer mechanism.
Our SHC Odometer Worm Gear Repair Clamp has been designed specifically to help with this issue. The clamp holds the worm gear securely in its correct position, helping to restore operation where movement of the worm gear is the cause of the fault.
Please note: This is not a universal repair for all non-working odometers. The clamp only addresses faults caused by the worm gear becoming loose or moving out of position.
Before ordering, we recommend checking that the rest of the odometer mechanism is operating correctly. In particular, the grey gear on the right-hand side of the mechanism, which drives the mileage digits, must still be turning and functioning correctly. If this gear or another part of the internal mechanism has failed, fitting this clamp will not repair the fault.
